Geography is a popular subject at GCSE, AS and A2 level with many students opting to pursue a University course based on a Geographical subject specialism.

Curriculum

Key Stage 3:

The Key stage 3 curriculum is dynamic, interactive and motivating. A range of topics are studied

  • London - The Olympic City
  • Geo Skills
  • Plate Tectonics
  • Tourism
  • Global Challenges

Key Stage 4:

The GCSE course studied is EDEXCEL Syllabus B. The main topics covered by the qualification are:

  • Providing for Population change
  • Planning for change
  • Coping with environmental change
  • Use and abuse of the environment

Key Stage 5:

The AS/A2 course studied is EDEXCEL.

The main topics covered by the qualification are:

  • Unit 1: Global Challenges
  • Unit 2: Geographical Investigations
  • Unit 3: Contested Planet
  • Unit 4: Geographical research
