Careers Education and Guidance forms an important element of the Sixth Form Curriculum. It aims to remind you of and introduce you to, the increased opportunities which are opened up by Sixth Form study.
Much of what is done in CEG in the Sixth Form is a continuation of the process started earlier in your school career. This includes: careers interviews with either the school careers staff or Connexions Prospects Personal Advisers, continuation of the guidance programme with your form tutor, and through further use of the Careers literature and Higher Education material in the careers section of the Sixth Form study area, including access to the UCAS website (the Universities and Colleges' Admission Service) on the computer networks.
Visits are organised to the UCAS Higher Education Fair in the Spring Term to help with University choices.
We invite past students to come in to school to give advice about all aspects of student life. Guidance sessions are held to guide university applicants through the UCAS procedure and to advise on student finance. |
