Creative Changemakers

Today, a group of Year 12 students attended a Leadership Conference at Mulberry School for Girls with the theme 'Creative Changemakers for Challenging Times'.
Students heard from a panel of speakers, including lawyer David Neita, author Eleanor Shearer, journalist Yasmin Dewan Khatun, playwright Inua Ellams, and Tedx spaker Jonas Andrews-Phillip. Students were then given opportunities to ask questions of the panellists, with Chi's question being selected to be asked.
At lunch, students were given the opportunity to network with panellists, which offered a fantastic opportunity to develop key life skills including confidence, public speaking and debate.
After lunch, students then participated in workshops of their choosing on topics such as mental health, the NHS, drugs, racism, and domestic violence, proposing solutions and debating how these could be improved.
