Bertha Earth

As term drew to a close, so did the Bertha Earth weekly workshops, much to the sadness of the 30 Year 7 ambassadors. They have shown great commitment throughout the year; braving the cold to make 'flower seed bombs', sketching the trees in East Finchley cemetery and spending a freezing day pickling vegetables in the polytunnels at Grow Farm.
The programme has culminated with the Year 7s presenting their 'Project Planet Love' ideas of how we could support our Earth. They gave passionate speeches, songs and poems about how to protect and conserve nature. Notable mentions go to the; designing a mushroom chess board to reduce deforestation, hosting a staff vs Bertha Earth football match to raise awareness of drought or even encouraging painting workshops to learn about Sri Lanka's wild birds - their brilliant ideas were endless.
