BISHOP DOUGLASS BECOMES A NEW ACADEMY

I am delighted to inform you that the Secretary of State for Education has issued an Academy Order made further to section 4 of the Academies Act 2010. This means that the school can proceed to convert to Academy status and join the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust on 1st September 2016. As far as the Governors are concerned, becoming an Academy has no significant implications for the way we operate and we remain proudly a Catholic school committed to the pursuit of excellence. Martin Tissot, Headteacher.
