It is compulsory for pupils to be in school from 8.45am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday. Pupils in Years 10–13 may also have a timetabled Period 6, which runs from 3.15pm to 4.15pm, Monday to Thursday; this does not run when a school event requires its cancellation. Pupils in Years 10–13 are expected to attend their Period 6 lessons.
The total weekly time pupils must be in school is 32.5 hours per week.
Out of Hours Learning
Saturday Morning Classes (Years 10–13)
9.30am to 12.30pm
Pupils are encouraged to attend all relevant Saturday lessons.
After-school study clubs (various) until 4.15pm - as advised.
‘Prep’ (All Years)
3.15pm to 6.00pm (Monday–Thursday)
3.15pm to 4.00pm (Friday)
After-school ‘Prep’ is held in the library each day and provides a quiet working environment for homework and independent study. Students from all year groups are welcome, and teaching and support staff are available to help when needed. A free light meal is provided at 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday, for students still working.
